I am an inventor/entrepreneur in cybersecurity and payments. My current active projects are:

In the last few years I have invented, incubated and sold: Hawk and Seal a transaction authentication product (acquired by Authentify), 3pTALK a secure messaging with escrow product (acquired by Authentify), Privacy Enhanced Geolocation for fuzzy geolocation (acquired by Early Warning) and HoneyLogin marrying identity and deception (acquired by Acalvio).

I began my career in information technology at Verizon where I eventually served as Vice President of Distributed Operations leading a team of over five hundred IT professionals in managing complex mission critical systems. I then served as Vice Chair and Chief Technology Officer at CheckFree Corporation (sold to FiServ) where I was part of the leadership team that led the Company through a period of explosive, profitable, growth. Then as an entrepreneur I founded TriCipher (sold to VMWare), a start up in the security technology for financial services space, for which I  raised three rounds of venture financing. I also  served as an Operating Partner at at The Comvest Group where I co-led four investments, three of which had successful exits.

I hold a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a B.E. from Anna University. My publications can be found here. I am a successful inventor  (with over 75+  issued and about 20 or so pending patents). See here for a list.
